This seems like a great forum to meet like-minded Apple enthusiasts like me. I do like other tech topics but for the first one, I think I'd like to know everyone's thoughts around the Vision Pro. It's been such an exciting release although I knew the $3500 price tag will get in my way.
But it seems like it's got in everyone's way or what? Apple sold like 200k Vision Pros which sounds decent. But do you remember they move a million iPhones in a weekend! For a $3,500 headset with a super niche use case I don't see it there yet. I mean, come on, it's spatial computing we are talking about.
Early adopters are either calling it straight-up magic or saying it’s basically a dev kit with extra steps. Meanwhile outside the tech bubble nobody knows what it even does some people legit think it’s just VR for Apple Arcade. Thoughts?
Yeah I feel the same. Been super curious about the Vision Pro since it dropped, but $3,500 is wild. I get that it’s kinda futuristic and all, but outside of tech folks and early adopters, most people I know are like .. so it’s just VR right?.. lol.
I think Apple’s just planting the seed for now get devs building cool stuff and maybe in a few years when it’s cheaper and less bulky, people will start actually wanting it.
Def excited to see where it goes, but not rushing to buy one myself yet.
