I agree with the ergonomic side of things and how it feels magically calm but am not okay with the performance dip if you ask me. The keys take me back in time and while it's great when am writing a story, on work days it makes me impatient. Am I the only one like this?
Switched to an ergonomic keyboard and now typing feels amazing… but also kinda weirdly slow?
I recently bought an ergonomic keyboard, one of those split, tented setups. Took about a week to stop typing like a confused crab, but once muscle memory kicked in, it did feel better on my wrists and shoulders. Way less strain, especially during long sessions.
But here’s the weird part: I’m definitely slower. More accurate maybe, but slower. And switching back to a normal keyboard feels like borrowing someone else’s hands.
So I’m torn—was the comfort upgrade worth the performance dip? Do people actually get their speed back long-term, or is this just the tradeoff for healthier hands? Curious to hear from the long-time users.
