Got a 4K monitor on sale and now I feel it's kinda overhyped 🙄
It took me a while but I finally found the guts to test a switch from a 1440p to 4K monitor. Honestly, I thought this would be a massive upgrade but if you ask me, the smaller scaling is so weird for someone like me. Yeah, text is sharp, photos look amazing, games look insane if your GPU can handle it but unless you’re staring up close the difference isn’t as crazy as I expected.
Productivity feels a bit better but is it worth the price I paid. Not really! Unless you’re juggling a ton of windows or doing creative work and don’t even get me started on refresh rates unless you’re spending big.
Certain piece of tech for me is just overhyped and not meant for all. This seems to be one of them, anyone faced the same?Â
